Greenside Live ("Greenside", "we", "us", or "our") operates the greenside.live website, the Greenside Live mobile application, and related streaming services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our Service.

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information You Provide

• Account Information: Name, email address, password, and optional profile photo when you create an account.
• Profile Information: Username, GHIN number, phone number, and payment method details (Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Cash App usernames) that you choose to add.
• Event Data: Tournament participation, team assignments, scores, and challenge/pick activity.
• Communications: Messages sent through event chat features.
• Payment Information: We facilitate peer-to-peer payment tracking between players. We do not process payments directly. Payment method usernames are stored to help players settle up.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers when using our mobile app.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns.
• Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens for delivering push notifications, stored securely and deleted when you unregister.

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process event registrations and team assignments
• Display leaderboards, scores, and tournament standings
• Facilitate peer-to-peer challenges and contest tracking
• Send push notifications about event updates, challenge invitations, and payment reminders
• Send SMS notifications (only if you opt in) for event invitations and payout alerts
• Deliver live video streams and recorded content to authorized users
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

• With Other Players: Your name, username, team assignment, scores, and challenge activity are visible to other participants in your events. Payment method usernames are shared with players you have active challenges with.
• With Course Administrators: Event organizers can see participant information for events they manage.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform:
  • Supabase (database hosting)
  • Vercel (web hosting)
  • Cloudinary (image and video storage)
  • Expo (mobile push notifications)
  • Resend (transactional email)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (PostgreSQL database) and Vercel (application hosting), both of which maintain industry-standard security certifications. Profile photos and video recordings are stored via Cloudinary with access controls.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

Greenside provides live video streaming from golf courses equipped with our streaming hardware. Video streams and recordings are accessible only to:

• Members of the course where the stream originates
• Participants in the associated event
• All logged-in users, if the stream is marked as public by the course administrator

Recorded content is retained until deleted by a course administrator. Live streams are not permanently stored unless DVR recording is enabled by the course.

We send push notifications for event updates, challenge invitations, score results, and payment reminders. You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.

SMS notifications are strictly opt-in. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or toggling the setting in your profile. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

• Access and Update: You can view and update your profile information at any time through the app or website.
• Delete Account: Open the mobile app and go to Profile → Delete Account to anonymize your data immediately. Confirmation requires your current password plus typing "DELETE". If you cannot access the app, email support@greenside.live and we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
• Push Notifications: Disable in your device settings.
• SMS: Reply STOP to any message or toggle off in Profile settings.
• Profile Photo: You can remove your profile photo at any time from the Profile screen.

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@greenside.live.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
